Fresh Sheet: May 29, 2019

THIS WEEK'S FRESH SHEET IS UP AND WE ARE FULL OF THE BEST FOOD IN EDMONTON!

Join us WEDNESDAY in the Terwillegar Recreation Center

in Parking Lot E from 4 to 7:30pm

While this is still early days of the outdoor market season, there are so many great vendors at the market already.  Fresh vegetables are already making an appearance and heaps of delicious, juicy BC fruit is not far behind!  Grab yourself some homemade European bread or buns, a prepared curry or soup, and perhaps some craft beer or soda and give yourself a night off in the kitchen!  Another option is to try a piping hot food truck meal; we have at least four trucks per market so there is a ton of great choices.

Join us here on the Fresh Sheet every Tuesday to see what's fresh and happening at your favourite farmers' market! Remember, please leave Fido at home- we are a pet-free market (service animals excluded)

In our Community Tent this week, we have Change for Climate , an initiative of the City of Edmonton aimed at helping Edmontonians reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and increase their energy efficiency. We have resources and programs to help you get started on your own climate actions! Our Young Vendors Program, which gives 13 to 17 year olds a chance to sell their homemade products, continues this year. This week we are hosting Jarred, a Junior Achievement Company. These youths will be selling accessible home-based alternative to gardens through mason jar herb gardens. We also started a take-a-bag, leave-a-bag program in 2019. Please bring your clean plastic or reusable bags to donate, or feel free to grab one if you left yours at home.
