Vendor Spotlight: Artisans

Alongside great food the Southwest Edmonton Farmers’ Market is home to a wide variety of artisan vendors selling a unique collection of gifts, decor and clothing items. While picking up weekly groceries why not check out some handmade, local crafts and designs being sold at the market. Among the 40+ food vendors our market is proud to host more than 7 diverse and individual artisan vendors each week, including Ada’s soap shop, Carmen's jewelry, Dazzling Designs, Morrie’s hand crafts, Skinchantment, Cheeky Cloth diaper co, Wilmar Farms, Sweetpea Baby Accessories and last but not least Hunter and Hanley.

Carmens Jewelry has a wide variety of handmade leather bracelets and necklaces. Her new product is a hook clasp double wrap bracelet, each is unique. Dazzling Designs has gorgeous handpainted jewelry and beautiful cloth, perfect for special gift or a great way to treat yourself. Our last two clothing vendors follow a very popular theme, babies. Both Sweetpea and Cheeky diaper co offer great affordable and adorable products for the new families at market. Sweetpea has a new owl diaper cake, perfect for that baby shower coming up.

Looking for a more natural skin cleanser, two of our artisan vendors sell just the thing. Ada’s Soap shop sells a diverse range of hand crafted soaps made with all natural ingredients. The most popular scent is peppermint and hemp. They also offer a new line of shaving products including soaps, brushes and creams. The second skin care vendor is Skinchantment which provides clean, vegan, herbal skin care products made with organic ingredients. Their top seller is a Radiance nectar that acts as a wonderful toner spray. Wilmar Farms also provide hemp based skin care.

Looking for an uncommon gift or a bright design for your house, come check out our two decor artisans Morrie’s Hand Crafts and Hunter and Hanley. There are always an amazing  assortment of wall hangings and canvas art from Hunter and Hanley, perfect for decorating a new room or refreshing the old one.

Even though the season is ending soon, many of these vendors will be back next year so take note and stop by next spring to pick up any of these amazing artisan products.

The market is open from 4:00-7:30 in the Terwillegar Rec Center parking lot, out last Market is October 5 2016.
