This week we are hosting our final Harvest Festival of the season. Harvest Festival is a time to share and give to the Edmonton Food Bank who will be set up in the community tent accepting donations all market. They will be there to help market goers donate fresh produce from the vendors. There by supporting local food and the community. This week also marks the official start to fall which unfortunately means the market will be closing for the season next week, October 5.
A reminder to all our sprouts, please bring any extra tokens you have been saving at home to the last markets so we can collect them for more kids to use next season!
The Edmonton Food Bank will be in the Community Tent, celebrating the last Harvest Festival of the season as a part of the Plant a Row, Grow a Row program. Bring fresh fruits and vegetable to the community tent to help other families in our community. When bringing food items, think of east-to-store and cook produce first!
Dargatz Family Farm will be bringing their usual potatoes, tomatoes and potted plants and herbs, along with squash, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, and leafy vegetables.
Holden Colony will be bringing their fresh field and greenhouse veggies, along with frozen chickens, preserves, and eggs.
Lactuca Urban Farm will be bringing their hyperlocal salad mix, along with arugula, parsley, dill, garlic, kale, squash, basil, beans, carrots, corn and fresh flowers.
Riverbend Gardens will be bringing fresh potatoes, carrots, beets, beans, dill, summer squash, onions, corn, and other field crops this week.
S4 Greenhouses always has the most delicious greenhouse vegetables, from lettuce, and tomatoes to mini cucumbers and fresh bell peppers
Bo & Marrow will be joining us this week with their organic bone broth in a full line of flavours.
Cafe Bel-Air will be bringing fresh, handmade popsicles to market. All of Cafe Bel-Air's popsicles are free of gluten and tree nuts, and they have vegan options as well!
Crafty Cooks has a great line of take-home meals and will be sampling their Spicy Sausage Lentil and Turkey Wild Rice soups.
Honest Dumplings is bringing their handmade dumplings in delicious flavours.
Jamaican Chefmon will be bringing their Jamaican condiments and appetizers to market this week.
Jerky Jerky will be on-site with their beef and pork jerkies in a variety of flavours.
Melodi's Kitchen is our favourite Turkish food vendor and will be bringing all of their popular dishes for you to try.
Michelle's Preserves is back this week with her delicious jams and pickled vegetables.
Mini Kitchen specializes in delicious Indian and Thai food.
Pamoda Tea will be joining us with this week with with their hand-blended specialty teas and tea-infused chocolate truffles.
Sweet & Spicy is back this week with their wide range of spices, sauces and condiments to make your next meal an exciting one!
Thai Sab Food Co. will be bringing her delicious Thai foods to market this week.
Theo's Greek Kouzina will be bringing their well-loved greek dips and treats to market this week.
Urban Pierogies will be joining us with their fresh pierogies made from simple and organic ingredients. They'll be sampling their vegan carrot cashew pierogies this week.
The Sprouts Program for kids continues! Children between 4-12 will receive a $2 token sponsored by Innovation Physical Therapy to spend with our fruit and vegetable vendors.
