It's time to can!

Now that the summer harvest is at its peak, it's time to start thinking about preserving all of your favourite summer fruits and vegetables to enjoy over the winter months. From pickling cucumbers, beans and carrots to making jams with berries and stone fruits, now is the time to stock up on your favourite produce to preserve. Many of our fruit and vegetable vendors have cases of produce for those looking to can or pickle, and some offer less-than-perfect produce at a discount for sauces and jams. Of course, if you aren't looking to can yourself, many of our vendors have amazing preserves for you to pick up and enjoy the taste of summer year round without the work!

The Valley Zoo Development Society will be in the Community Tent this week to provide information about the ongoing development of the Edmonton Valley Zoo.

Dargatz Family Farm will be bringing their usual potatoes, tomatoes and potted plants and herbs, along with squash blossoms.

Holden Colony will be bringing their fresh field and greenhouse veggies, along with frozen chickens, preserves, and eggs.

Lactuca Urban Farm will be bringing their hyperlocal salad mix, along with arugula, parsley, dill, kale, squash, basil, beans and fresh flowers.

Riverbend Gardens will be bringing fresh potatoes, carrots, beets, beans, dill, summer squash, onions, and other field crops this week.

S4 Greenhouses always has the most delicious greenhouse vegetables, from lettuce, and tomatoes to mini cucumbers and fresh bell peppers.

Birds and Bees Winery is back this week with their wonderful fruit wines and meads. They'll be sampling at their stall, so be sure to welcome them back to market over a sip of wine!

Cafe Bel-Air will be bringing fresh, handmade popsicles to market. All of Cafe Bel-Air's popsicles are free of gluten and tree nuts, and they have vegan options as well!

Crafty Cooks has a great line of take-home meals and will be sampling their Veggie Quinoa Soup and Sloppy Joes at market this week.

Cravings Gelato will be bringing their fantastic gelato, gelato pops and her new diabetic class of gelatos.

Honest Dumplings is bringing their handmade dumplings in delicious flavours.

Jerky Jerky will be on-site with their beef and pork jerkies in a variety of flavours.

Knosh will be back this week with their British fare including pork and quail egg pie, cornish pasties and Twix tarts, along with savoury and sweet scones.

Melodi's Kitchen is our favourite Turkish food vendor and will be bringing all of their popular dishes for you to try.

Michelle's Preserves is back this week with her amazing pickles and jams.

Mini Kitchen specializes in delicious Indian and Thai food.

O'Delight will be bringing their homemade Moroccan foods. They always have samples of their wonderful take-home meals!

The Ruby Apron will be back this week, bringing prepared foods made with local ingredients.

Sweet and Spicy is back this week with their hand-blended spice mixes, sauces, salsas and jellies.

Square 1 Coffee will be serving up fresh coffee and selling bags of coffee beans from craft roasters around Western Canada and United States.

Thai Sab Food Co. will be bringing her delicious Thai foods to market this week.

Theo's Greek Kouzina will be bringing their well-loved greek dips and treats to market this week.

Urban Pierogies will be joining us with their fresh pierogies made from simple and organic ingredients.

The Sprouts Program for kids continues! Children between 4-12 will receive a $2 token sponsored by Innovation Physical Therapy to spend with our fruit and vegetable vendors.

AIG Produce will be bringing fresh cherries (red and Rainier), berries, plums, apricots, apples, nectarines and cases of peaches to market this week.

Red Apple will have a wide variety of fresh B.C. fruits including Sunrise apples and Free-Stone peaches.

Steve & Dan's Fresh B.C. Fruit will have a wonderful variety of fresh berries, cherries, apples, and stone fruits, along with dehydrated apples and sparkling apple juice.

Effing Seafoods will be on-site with fresh B.C. seafood. Ths week Rob is featuring surf and turf sausages, cod cakes, lemon dill salmon sausages and angry salmon burgers by Tzin Wine and Tapas, along with Salmon Burgers and Cod Cakes from Farm To Fork Eatery.

Sunworks Organic Farm will be joining us with their humanely raised meats, sausages, and eggs.

Auntie Jean's Fudge will be at market with her handmade fudge. She will have a fresh batch of maple bacon fudge for you to try!

Celebrate, Gluten Free is the perfect option for those with gluten sensitivities. They always have amazing bagels, cupcakes, and loaves of bread available!

Confetti Sweets is our favourite pink tent at market, full of wonderful cookies!

Fresh 2 Share is back this week with his Swiss braided breads and meringues.

Prairie Mill Bread Co. makes all of his bread loaves and cinnamon buns right in our neck of the woods!

Sandra's Macarons will be bringing her bright and delicious array of hand-made macarons this week.

Sweet Stuff will be bringing her delicious cupcakes, croissants, and cookies to market.

Bully Food Truck will be serving up drool-worthy comfort food using fresh and local ingredients.

Fat Franks will be ready to serve you their delicious hot dogs and smokies with all the fixings!

La Poutine is back with their hand-cut fries and authentic poutine.

Lemon Grass Grill will be at market with their Vietnamese cuisine.

Original Canadian Kettle Corn, a farmers' market staple, will be here this week satisfying all of your cravings for this summer favourite!

Yellowbird Cafe Truck will be back at SWEFM this week with their friendly smiles and delicious Asian fusion cuisine.
