Alberta Approved Markets: Bringing you ALBERTA'S best!

Picture
One of the key tasks involved in bringing a top-notch farmers' market to our community involves ensuring that we have the highest quality, local products to offer our patrons. As an Alberta Approved market, we take our commitment to promoting locally-based Alberta businesses very seriously.  We adhere to a strict 80/20 rule; 80% of our vendors (or more) must be Albertan-based businesses that "grow", "make" or "bake" their own products.  We prioritize vendors who are from the Edmonton area and are extremely proud of the high caliber and exceptional quality of the goods that are sold at the SWEFM.

You can easily identify an "Alberta Approved" market by searching for the Sunny Girl Logo on your local market's website or signs.

For more information on the Alberta Approved Farmers' Market Program or to find a local Alberta Approved market near you, visit the Government of Alberta's Agriculture and Rural Development website here!

Keep watching our current vendor roster (the button link below) as vendors are added to our list regularly as we approach market season.

Bad Weather???

Picture

Ours is an outdoor, rain or shine market. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Grab your Canadian spirit, put on your raincoat and get to the market! There are wonderful things waiting there for you.

If it looks like a severe thunderstorm, if there are high winds or if there is lightening, the market could be suspended temporarily or shut down completely. Check out our facebook page or our twitter feed for notice of any cancellation.
